Numerical circulation modeling
Objectives
- study generation and collapse of Juan de Fuca eddy
- couple circulation model with biological model and study transport
of Pseudo-nitzschia and domoic acid to the coast
- examine regional differences in upwelling
- hindcast (assimilate) ship ADCP and mooring observations
- develop circulation forecasting ability

- ROMS, POM, ELCIRC, FUNDY5
Domain
- Juan de Fuca Strait, Washington and southern British Columbia shelves
- include Columbia plume, Oregon?
- 1-2 km resolution
Forcing
- winds, tides, buoyancy, surface fluxes, boundary, ... (everything!)
